Little Ship Club a gem of a wedding venue

Exchanging vows, back-dropped by a spectacular sunset spreading across the sparkling waters of Moreton Bay, is a beautiful way to begin a honeymoon. And the Little Ship Club is a jewel of a location, right on the waterfront of the One Mile anchorage at Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island.

“When visitors step off the water taxi from Cleveland they’re right at the Club gates,” says LSC manager Julie Hackett, “and they turn to look out across the lawns towards the Bay in wonder. It’s such a magnificent vista.”

Now in its 65th year, the Little Ship Club has a lot of experience in helping tailor different packages for a range of wedding and reception styles and guests. From elegantly formal to relaxed and casual, the choices are many and can be customised to suit by Julie and the friendly LS Club team. “We can access a range of specialist suppliers on Straddie,” says Julie, “and we’re happy to work with our customers’ preferred providers too to help make the big day just right. Our fresh local seafood is second to none and we can mix and- match platters, catering and dining options to suit many tastes and budgets.”

Little Ship Club is just 25 minutes by high-speed water taxi from Cleveland, and a short drive from the vehicular ferry terminal on the other side of the point at Dunwich.
